Our Story

Rooted in community,
built to last

Founded in 1997, NIUE Rentals is proudly owned and operated by local Niueans. Over the years our Magafaoa (family) has expanded to include a diverse workforce, reflecting Niue's rich cultural tapestry.

Our journey began with a small office on the main road in Aliluki, Alofi South. On January 5th, 2005, Super Cyclone Heta devastated the district, washing away our office, workshop, records and several vehicles. Despite this immense loss, we rebuilt — establishing a new office, a modern workshop, and growing our fleet to over 50 vehicles.

We faced another significant challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic. As our borders reopened, we eagerly welcomed tourists back to Niue, ready to help them discover the Rock of Polynesia in comfort.
